Monday Night Foods!
Well it started off with a new episode of The Taste with the judges vying for contestants to fill the remaining spots on each team. The prospects seemed well versed in cooking etiquette and style in their food, but the majority of them end up being turned away. It all came down to Chef Anthony Bordain getting to the last 2 contestants and utlimately picking the last one, Uno, a “single mother” with Asian background, which ended up being exactly what Chef Anthony Bordain was looking for. Of course, Uno can definitely use some education about class due to her very disrespectful comment of how Bordain would react to her spoonful of food. Aggggh, I get so tired of shows promoting the lack of couth, class and respect with some of theses men and women on TV nowadays.
Luckily, an awesome episode of Chopped followed on the Food Network, which pitted 4 New Orleans cooks against each other. This is my kind of show. Its a great thing to watch watch accomplished cooks can do when faced with mystery ingredients and how they can come up with some of the recipes and food that they do. I like to see how each contestants character comes through and either can enhance their dish and send it to the stage for an ultimate hammering by the judges.
I’m still watching it, so I have no idea who is going to win, I’m hoping Chef Linda wins it, she seems like a really good person who took the misfortune of Katrina and used that to situation to launch her own catering company! Good for her and good luck to her as well!
We’ll see what happens!
